Job Description:To support ongoing corporate growth we are adding a Senior Cost Accountant to our team. We seek candidates with 3-5 years of experience in an inventory/cost accounting position, preferably in a fast-paced high-tech environment. The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for the critical function of inventory management, cost accounting, provide business support to the management team and various business functions, and be a key contributor in the monthly financial close process.

Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager at Corporate HQ in Bedford, MA
Responsibilities:
Assist in Monthly close process including direct responsibility for:
- Inventory, including sub ledger maintenance and reconciliation
- Assist in calculation and review of inventory reserves
- Prepaid cost of sales, royalties, insurance and general prepaid accounts
- Calculation of royalty accruals and associated reporting
- Cash reconciliation of foreign and domestic bank accounts
- Fixed Asset sub ledger, maintenance and reconciliation including tracking of capitalized software/hardware projects
- Monthly reconciliation of US entity intercompany accounts with foreign subsidiaries
Assist with the annual audit of the global consolidated financial results
Prepare assorted government filings
Analyze capital budgeting requests
Complete and reconcile assigned monthly balance sheet recs
Assist with carious accounting projects
With the support and guidance of an experienced Finance team, you will gain valuable knowledge interacting with all levels of a global company while being the lead inventory and cost accountant.

Cost accounting and inventory management experience in a software/manufacturing environment
Experience in Oracle, Hyperion or other comparable ERP Systems
Strong excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications
Track record of support in Manufacturing or Engineering ? hi ? tech company
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Motivation to learn and develop business skills
Strong desire to grow professionally
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
3 ? 5 years of experience in an inventory/cost accounting position
