Senior Customer Support Engineer Delphix
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED POSITION DESCRIPTION: Troubleshoot, debug and perform root cause analysis for multiple technologies and products. Perform real-time systems performance analysis, performance and other problem determination; crash-dump analysis and other forensic processes analysis; operation, and recovery; storage/device management and troubleshooting; and advanced network troubleshooting. Responsible for conducting troubleshooting and analysis, frequently using operating system to determine root causes of problems. Modify existing software to correct errors and to upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Identify product defects with associated technical evaluation and source code references for filing and advancing product bug reports; and work with other engineering teams on defect diagnosis and remediation, performance requirements and resolution of customer technical problems. Implement and manage defect tracking systems and knowledge systems to capture key learning from defects and success factors. Provide technical guidance through all phases of the software implementation. Serve as a strategic implementation advisor and project technical advisor. Provide guidance in improved telemetry from customer-installed systems, technical support process improvements, and product lifecycle to reduce recurring support cases. Improve product observability and supportability. Lead the resolution of critical account issues. Advise customers about Delphix proprietary servers and database virtualization software. Gather and analyze customer information consumed by Delphix software. Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. Support installation and maintenance of Delphix proprietary database virtualization software system. Develop and execute consistent implementation assessment strategy. Consult with customers and other engineering teams on project status and technical issues.
REQUIREMENTS: Master?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field and 3 years of experience in job offered or in software engineering related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in software engineering related occupation.
