As part the Marketing Operations team, the Marketing Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of marketing data and processes. They will provide strategic and tactical support to the organization by analyzing and interpreting the data to provide creative solutions. The individual should be a data interpretation expert with knowledge of data analysis tools and have the ability to communicate with both marketing analyst and database administrators.
Create and document marketing processes, creating awareness of best practices. Work closely with the marketing operations team in creating validation routines, scrubbing logic and summary table creation. Assure the integrity of data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis.
Identify segments with unique characteristics and behaviors within the organization?s database and other list resources using appropriate statistical techniques. Investigate and analyze these segments to evaluate marketing and communications opportunities. Help create and maintain high quality lists for programs including list segmentation, merge/purges and bounce backs
Identify the reporting deliverables and essentially work backward identifying the requirements for data collection, analysis, and reporting. Identify the data sources as well as the access points required for analyzing and interpreting the data in a variety of formats.
Develop and automate delivery of dashboards/scorecards which show the cross channel performance of campaigns as well as tactics in market
Experience with SPSS (or related analytical software) or SQL programming skills.
Degree with an emphasis in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, economics, business, or math MBA (or equivalent advanced degree) preferred.
Experience manipulating large data files and working with pivot tables.
Ability to communicate with senior management, marketing, financial and systems departments.
Minimum of 5-7 years of direct/database marketing analysis experience.
Experience with SQL Server, ETL and other Data Warehousing functions.
Experience in online advertising/media, channel marketing, strategic marketing and/or consulting is a plus
