We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to join our Eden Prairie team. This division specializes in HEDIS and other healthcare quality metric software and services to support a customer base primarily composed of health plans and providers located around the US.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis: Analyze complex problems, identify outliers, interpret client needs, and develop creative solutions.
Data Translations: Retrieve and reformat data from various healthcare databases. Create data marts on SQL server and Oracle platforms using established procedures. Perform data warehouse administrative functions.
Technical learning: Develop and maintain expert level of knowledge with MediConnect software and the HEDIS industry
Software Support: Provide primary software support for clients to guide implementations, guide data processing and answer questions.
Repeatable Processes: Learn and execute established processes. Suggest, refine and document improvements
Quality Assurance Testing: As a subject matter expert, provide input for test plans, assist with testing and suggest enhancements.
Project Lead: Serve as project lead for key initiatives as directed. Examples include creating client facing documentation, coordinating client training calendar, updating
Qualifications:
Experience: Candidates will have 3-5 years of work experience, with a minimum of a bachelors degree in a related field.
Prioritization: Senior Data Analysts have demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities in a business setting. The scope of their work is broad, and usually entails managing competing priorities against hard deadlines, and managing up as well as down in pursuit of optimal prioritization. Their focus is on performing complex, high level software implementations while also being able to provide software support to clients.
Communication: SDAs speak with authority to clients. They are regularly entrusted to present on behalf of MediConnect, facilitating discussions with clients and providing software support.
Problem Solving: SDAs take on critical problem solving tasks. While they engage senior leadership as appropriate, they are fairly autonomous and solution-oriented in their work. SDAs are expected to understand client feedback and incorporate their requests into the product if possible.
Leadership: All staff should have an ownership mentality. SDAs directly manage small teams (2-3 FTEs), and are expected to be able to support and motivate their direct reports.
Technical Knowledge: SDAs must be technically proficient in writing complex SQL statements, experience with MS SQL server and Oracle, experience with retrieving and reformatting data from various client health care databases, be experts on MediConnect software, and understand the technical regulations of HEDIS.
Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in the healthcare industry is required.
