Senior Data Architect Liaison Technologies

This hands-on technical position involves working onsite and remotely with customers on large enterprise projects implementing Data Governance practices and Liaison?s Data Integration and Data Management solutions from inception to completion.
This position requires working well in teams, as well as independently on projects. As a customer facing position, excellent communication (oral and written), customer expectation management, responsiveness to customer needs, being proactive in anticipating technical challenges, being meticulous and having a consultative approach are extremely important to be successful in this position. A basic understanding of project management and the ability to follow formal project delivery methodology is required.
The position also provides an opportunity to grow and diversify with the needs of the company. This is a full time opportunity with 40-60% travel expected.
Position Duties
This role will independently perform the following functions:
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to capture current data management challenges and objectives from different stakeholders that define their needs
Collaborate with business process owners, data producers and data consumers to get an understanding of current processes and systems that has a direct impact on the quality of the enterprise data
Understand the full-breadth and full-depth of the enterprise entities, its relationship with other entities and attributes that defines conformance and completes the meaning of an enterprise data
Identify all reference and master data sources in the enterprise and establish a streamlined, re-useable Data Integration Architecture that extracts/collects enterprise data effectively and timely
Define the process for aggregating all data from different data sources and design the blueprint for required data mapping, standardization and transformation. Architect the data persistence end-state of the collected, mapped, and transformed enterprise data
Establish match rules that identify duplicate data across data sources and align required action with the organization?s data governance procedures
Reconcile and unify records by creating match-merge rules using an MDM tool that will establish unique enterprise data
Identify enterprise data that can be linked to other entities to complete the information required by the master data by providing and implementing match-link rules that cross-references records using global ids
Create process control on all match, merge, and link rules to ensure that the output of these rules conforms to the latest and greatest single version of truth of an enterprise data
Assess information quality by incorporating in a process control the following:
Identification of data quality dimension, which will be used to define the right measure of quality
Random extraction of sample enterprise data and measure quality of information
Accurate interpretation of the data quality measurement
Work with Vocabulary Management Systems to define, source, import and maintain business entities definitions and its relevant reference data
Provide guidance to the enterprise as to how the golden records will be accessed across the enterprise
Manage meta-data across the enterprise so it will stay consistent with the process of establishing single version of golden records
Requirements
8 plus years of data architecture experience working at the enterprise level with Product and/or Customer data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present complex information in simple language to non-technical audiences
Extensive Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture (EA)
Knowledge of Data Reference Model (DRM)
Experience in developing taxonomy of terms
Experience in MDM
Business process analysis and modeling
Strong Background in SQL and Oracle databases
Experience in Data Governance projects is a plus
Experience with ETL, Data Profiling, MDM tools is required. Informatica is a plus
Any Data Management, Data Quality or MDM certification(s) is a plus
