ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Senior Database Administrator sits within the TechOps department and reports to the Director of Linux Operations, working closely with teams based in California and the EU.
The Senior Database Administrator supports analysts within global business, you will contribute significantly to maintaining its high standards in innovative technology. You will work closely with developers and be integrated with other business units globally to ensure that all technology initiatives are implemented successfully and any issues resolved promptly and effectively.
The position combines autonomy with team and supervisor support as you create and maintain database objectives for all environments, across multiple hardware and SQL Server software platforms. You will also provide technical database expertise and problem-solving support to resolve SQL Server issues and assist in the monitoring of database performance and suggest improvements.
Performing the product implementation.
Leading and performing the implementation effort
Extracting and mapping data (using SQL)
Analyzing exceptions and ?fine tuning? the system
Overseeing user acceptance and providing training as necessary
Problem solving and resolving issues.
To assist in low-level estimations
To do the low-level design
To understand requirement specifications and carry out general system design and programming tasks as assigned
To create and maintain unit / program as per the specifications
To adhere to source code procedures and controls
To decide on the test cases of unit test plan
To carry out unit testing of assigned software item
To complete assigned tasks on time
To update task and defect status in the project tracker on real time basis
To participate in project lifecycle activities including quality reviews for programming, unit testing and conformance to standards
To participate in the scheduled team meetings, review project status meetings
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Hands on knowledge of a recognized ad serving and rich media technologies.

Position may require, on occasion, some non- traditional working hours to allow overlap with US colleagues and some on call requirements.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
BA/BSc (Computer / Information Science preferred) or relevant work experience
Solid experience of MYSQL, Linux, puppet, various scripting language.
Development experience a plus.
