Beyond.com is currently seeking a Senior Database Developer with production support experience in SQL 2008R2.Responsibilities
Work with business units gathering system specifications and designing the technical processing model
Design, development, and testing of stored procedures, triggers, and functions
Design and maintenance of SSIS packages
Development of OLAP cubes
Ad hoc data analysis
Report design and development
Proactively optimize performance of databases through monitoring, performance and index tuning
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly data maintenance tasks
Support of SQL Server Replication
Monitoring of scheduled jobs
Support of business and system processes and procedures
Manage data from multiple sources including internal, external, and 3rd party data
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field
Five or more years experience in MS SQL, data warehousing and enterprise reporting including experience with MS Transact-SQL language, SQL 2008R2, SSAS cube development and OLAP experience
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, independently, and within a collaborative team oriented environment
Detail-oriented, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently
Excellent communication skills both oral and written with strong analytical and problem solving skills
Able to interface with all functions and at all levels within the organization
