Senior Database Developer Clinicient
The Senior Database developer will play a significant role in the technical development and maintenance of the operational and data warehouse systems. The Senior DB developer is responsible for working with the product operation, software development team, and product management to share in responsibilities for database development, database standards, and meeting product service levels. Their purpose is to create a high level of customer satisfaction by assuring the quality, stability, and performance of the Clinicient software product infrastructure and offerings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interface with various groups to understand requirements for data capture and processing.
Propose, design, and build database packages, processes and data structures observing best practices for performance, data integrity, and security.
Ability to understand and foreseen challenges and tasks necessary to move from single to multi-tenancy systems.
Determine best solutions to meet corporate data management needs, including batch data exports and other data services.
Support enterprise-wide data initiatives. Grasp the strategic significance of activities performed, and is motivated by accomplishing these objectives.
Strong motivation to create customer satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality end-user applications and by solving real problems for real users.
Self-starter able to work with little supervision.
Ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to diagnose and solve problems creatively.
Ability to communicate clearly to varied audiences in writing, by phone, and in person.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
Minimum 5-7 years progressive experience working with Microsoft SQL server, with particular experience in versions 2008 or higher, and SSIS.
Development experience and working understanding of software as a service.
Working knowledge with transactional data modeling and development.
Familiarity with performance optimization techniques, including understanding of algorithms and data structures.
Ability to write and understand complex SQL Server programmable objects such as stored procedures, UDFs, and triggers.
Working understanding of SQL Server transactions, locking, and isolation levels.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Healthcare industry experience desirable.

SCOPE AND ACCOUNTABILITY
The position will interface primarily with internal staff and will have a high level of impact on customer satisfaction based on customers? experience with Clinicient?s product, the release process, and customer service levels. The nature of the position entails frequent new and varied work situations with a high degree of complexity. There are established some established procedures, but the individual will expected operate with little direct supervision.
This position is performed primarily in an office environment. Significant portions of the job require extended sedentary periods, constant work with computers (including extended period of keyboarding), and repetitive motion of hands and wrists.
