Senior Developer - VB6 CH Mack

Position Summary:



The senior developer is responsible for working with a team of business analysts, project managers, and others to support our existing customer base in their use of our enterprise care management solutions. This includes maintaining existing software and developing new tools designed to meet specific customer needs. In addition to solid technical skills, the senior developer needs to be adept at understanding customer requirements, suggesting improved ways to meet requirements, working as part of a team, and meeting deadlines.



Position Functions:



This individual must have a firm knowledge of software development processes and selected programming languages, platforms, and technologies, including:



VB 6.0, VB.NET, C and C++ in a client server and/or multi-tiered environment
Object oriented methodologies and technologies including COM and DCOM
Strong T-SQL skills
Familiarity with MS SQL Server, Oracle and MS Access
Data Analysis and reporting
Database and SQL tuning experience is a plus





Minimum Qualifications:



BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Math with a minimum of 10 years of experience in developing commercial software
Have strong conceptual and design skills
Have an ability to learn quickly and adapt successfully to new development environments and tools
Have the ability to work as a productive, self-motivated team member and to produce under tight deadlines
Provide new ideas for continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, productivity and products
