Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on, highly motivated senior engineer with an attention to detail who can provide technical leadership in architecture, design, and implementation to address our security server product line?s most challenging technology needs.
The server product is a highly scalable server that manages 10,000s of endpoints (Amazon Web Services instances and VMware virtual machines) and is fully-distributed, decentralized, security services platform serving many different applications.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent, advanced degree desirable
Experience:
3-5 years research and/or development experience
Skills:
3-5 years experience in delivering world class high performance servers that manage a large number of endpoints
Must have
3-5 years experience in the area of designing scalable database architecture, endpoint management, secure endpoint communication, concurrency and scalability.
4-5 years extensive experience with C/C++ or Python, SOAP and SQL
3-5 years experience in working with Unix/Linux development environments is required
Experience with publish/subscribe messaging systems or network protocols is a plus.
Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (Data Center Design, Networking, System Architecture Virtualization, Systems Management, Security) is a plus, but not required.
Excellent organizational, decision making and communication skills and the ability to motivate the team to excel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Handle all aspects of product functionality and implementation of the product.
Conceive, Prototype, implement and test the product functionality with high quality.
Drive definition, design and implementation of automated tests for the product components
Provide documentation as appropriate including functionality documentation, design documentation, test planning.
Work closely with testing teams as a partner to help deliver high quality code.
Participate in design and code reviews of other team members.
