Alert Logic is seeking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer to administer and support the software development and testing environments for our rapidly growing SaaS security products. We are looking for someone that works well in a fast paced environment supporting parallel development teams in the planning, design and implementation of automated build and deployment processes.

Responsibilities:
Maintain and provide development and test environments in accordance with requirements
Design and implement production system automation in a continuous improvement fashion
Assist in planning, designing and implementation an automated build/deploy process
Ensure configuration management (CM) oversight on all projects
Build and enhance repeatable CM plans, processes, templates, policies and procedures
Create and deploy CM software and utilities
Administrate GIT source code repository and build & continuous integration servers
Required skills:
5+ years of Linux systems administration experience supporting software development efforts
Proven scripting skills in bash and at least one other scripting language (Python, Perl, etc)
Experience in setting up and managing VMs
Well versed in SQL and general knowledge of database systems
Practical experience implementing configuration management and software release processes
Experience with GIT, Mercurial, SVN or Perforce (ideally GIT)
Experience automating deploy/installs to multiple servers in parallel
Hands on experience with packaging (MSI, RPM packages)
Must be willing to be available outside normal business hours for CM activities
Preferred skills:
Experience with automated configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Cfengine, STAF/STAX, etc)
Experience with source code configuration, versioning and promotion in a distribute multi team, multi project environment with an aggressive and complex release cadence
Knowledge of configuring and tuning one of more of the following: MySQL, Apache and/or Xen
Experience with configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting (firewall rules, tcdump, etc)
Past software development, testing or QA experience is a plus
