The Senior Director of Client Strategy (Agency Sales) will manage and foster deep, solutions-oriented relationships with Holding Company (HC) and Large Agency senior employees in the US by developing and showcasing pro-active and complex solutions that support Undertone?s promise of delivering ?Standout Brand Experiences?. This individual will partner with the sales organization including Account Executives, Sales Directors and VPs, as well as the Planning, Client Services and Client Solutions (Sales Engineering) departments in driving our HC and Large Agency efforts.
? Develop and execute a strategy to nurture relationships at the highest levels
? Develop proactive solutions for HC?s with the goal of driving larger deals and stronger close rates
? Drive ?Close Quarters? conversations with HC?s regarding upcoming Upfronts, Annual Planning, RFPs, as well as strategic positioning of Undertone within the online media landscape
? Continuously strengthen industry presence and network by participating in on-going industry events
? Coordinate with internal subject matter experts when developing proposals, preparing for client meetings and driving feedback sessions
? Contribute to the overall development of Undertone?s project roadmap and participate as a thought leader in regards to our clients? and industry perceptions of existing products and technology
? Develop and continuously enhance our HC strategies best practices and share across the organization
? Play a role alongside Senior Sales Management in driving the tactical and strategic direction of the Sales Department
Job Requirements ? 5+ years of experience driving and owning solutions-oriented, HC, and client relationships within the digital media space
? 5+ years of leadership experience with progressive growth and responsibility
? Experience working for an advertiser, advertising agency, ad technology company (i.e., SSP, rich media, video company, ad network, etc.), or media company (publisher)
? A roster of relationships in HC?s, Agencies and primary categories that can be leveraged for selling opportunities
? Proven experience in closing $5M-$15M contracts
? Experience working in a company with a complex and multi-faceted product/solutions offering
? Proven skills in working with technology and products that meet client campaign goals AND licensing technology to all customer types
? Proven experience in selling to business, procurement and technology buyers
? Knowledge and execution experience on key marketing strategies and plans in support of sales efforts
? Strong organizational and account planning skills that match market based customer needs with analysis and data to best support strategic selling
? Excellent and compelling presenter with a natural ability to strategic conversations and adjust to varying audiences
? Proven success at developing both internal and external relationships with ability to gain trust and respect of all levels of an organization
? Strong management skills including proven ability to support the management, coaching, mentoring and development of a team to optimum performance
