Job Description:

The Senior Director, Curriculum Development is responsible for leading a successful curriculum development operation for Infor Education's employees, partners and customers. Experience managing the curriculum function within a for-profit education organization is a must as is ability to build and lead a high performing team of full time and subcontractor resources. This role is responsible for ensuring the implementation of a content strategy, operations, technology and best practices. Develop and deliver custom content projects to Infor customers. Content authoring and project management are also important components of this job: writing product technical training for Infor Solutions, managing multiple projects for customers with both Infor and contracted resources. Training content includes traditional instructor led, virtual instructor led and eLearning.

In addition to managing the ongoing projects in production, the Curriculum Development Senior Director must act as a business leader, developing a close and formalized relationship with Product Development to ensure strategic product lines have a content roadmaps on a regular and predictable basis. The Senior Director should bring innovative ideas to speed and right-size development efforts to meet the continuously growing and evolving need for rapid content development, while ensuring team members are growing in their personal development.

Strong experience with financial management and planning skills required. Experience managing a budget and providing high quality solutions on time and with excellence and within budget are essential.
This position will focus on managing curriculum development projects, prioritizing development efforts through communication and working with others to optimize design fit, and leading the way in developing best practices, processes, templates and innovative new education products.

Key Responsibilities:

· Curriculum planning and design.

· Maintain and oversee all phases of the curriculum development process including: Analysis, Objective, Design, Development and Deployment phases.

· Collaborate with the Director, and delivery Senior Director in the process of defining and developing the curriculum roadmap, identifying curriculum gaps and utilization of instructor resources for content development.

· Work with the Director of Education, collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders (Product Management, Global Services, Support) to make sure that Education Services offerings are high quality, highly technical, and leading the way.

· Liaise between Infor Education and other Infor departments to help guide and facilitate internal training programs which are not directly owned by Infor Education.

2. Manage course development business and maintenance

· Develop custom content opportunities along with Education Solution Senior Director and Senior Director of Education.

· Scope, quote and close custom content opportunities.

• Maintain the curriculum roadmap and timeline to ensure all internal and product requirements are being met.
• Manage content development resources effectively to meet aggressive project timelines.
• Track progress of projects and communicate project progress and status to multiple stakeholders.
• Identify and overcome project issues.
• Provide high-level project management for customer content projects.

4. Manage content development team

• Personnel management: performance management, coaching, resource management, development, handling issues.
• Conducts weekly content meetings.
• Manage contractors and Infor team on multiple projects and ensure on-time, on-budget and high quality deliverables.

5. Lead instructional design efforts

• Develop content as needed.
• Use Adult Learning theory to formulate optimal training solutions.
• Act as lead reviewer and overseer for all content developed.
• Create, maintain and improves content development processes, tools and templates.
• Train and guide team members to ensure proper use of templates and processes.
• Develop testing and evaluation procedures to determine the effectiveness of the curriculum.
• Continuously evaluate progress and talk to customers to ensure that needs are being met.
• Quality controller for all content developed, process and template utilization, file management and Maintain and manage curriculum infrastructure and collateral.
• Create and maintain engaging education marketing collateral for field staff and customers.
• Oversee and coordinate the education infrastructure used to run the training operations (LMS, Training Images / Labs, Blog, Website).

6. Drive Training Leadership

• Use adult learning theory to drive curriculum path focused offerings combining instructor led, virtual instructor led and elearning offerings.
• Utilize modern development tools and processes to increase capacity and speed to market.
• Leverage multiple knowledge resources in the ecosystem to rapidly deliver training assets to the partner and customer communities.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Requires a BA/BS and 7 or more years of related experience.
• 3+ years experience managing a development team which produces technical software product training content for customers and partners. Remote management highly favorable.
• 3+ years developing content for a for-profit education services organization.
• Knowledge and deep experience with curriculum development processes.
• Ability to represent education within the organization demonstrating technical prowess.
• Knowledge of modular courseware development.
• Experience developing custom courseware.
• Experience interacting with sales consultants and customers to deliver needs assessments
• Experience with Needs assessments, skill and gap analysis.
• Working with web based training â€" Live online, self paced.
• Project management skills, managing curriculum developers, delivering courses on time.
• Excellent writing and editing skills; Creating assessments, and or certifications.
• Interest and appetite for leading the organization with best practices in instructional design, Experience with use of broad scope of development tools such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, TechSmith Camtasia, Articulate Presenter Suite, Adobe Captivate.
• Experience administering or developing content for an LMS, such as Infor, is highly favorable.
• Experience developing and managing e-commerce courseware is highly favorable.
• Must be familiar with Rapid Content Development and User Adoption Technology like Infor ASK, Oracle UPK, SAP Infobuilder, etc.
