THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Senior Director, Marketing Communications position is both a senior and very hands on position within The 451 Group. This person will be responsible for developing, managing and executing marketing communications strategies using a broad and innovative marketing mix across The 451 Group and its operating units, 451 Research, Uptime Institute and Yankee Group.
The 451 Group owns and operates 451 Research, a leading technology-industry syndicated research and data firm focused on the business of enterprise IT innovation, Uptime Institute, an independent provider of thought leadership, certification, education and professional services for the global data center and emerging Digital Infrastructure industry, and Yankee Group, the preeminent research and advisory firm equipping companies to profit in a mobile world.
This position requires an in-depth knowledge and track record of measurable success. The Marketing Communications Director will be responsible for all outbound communications across a broad marketing mix spectrum including:
Demonstrable marketing communications experience and success with the above is required with knowledge of the IT sector, particularly at senior executive level, is preferable.
This person will be required to:
?Define and take overall responsibility for the research, planning and execution of marketing communications programs across the company?s business units
?Manage the relationship with The 451 Group?s Global PR Firm
?Lead the contact acquisition and database development strategy in conjunction with the Corporate Marketing team
?Manage & fully leverage the firm?s Marketo system
?Provide detailed reporting and analysis on progress of marketing campaigns.
?Minimum of seven years marketing communications experience preferably with management experience.
?Experience using the full marketing mix, including online marketing, such as email campaigns, webinars, social media, SEO marketing, direct mail, and telemarketing.
?Knowledge of Salesforce.com, Marketo, Exact Target and GotoWebinar systems preferred
?Experience of working on global campaigns a plus
?Experienced at developing and running multiple and concurrent event marketing campaigns / plans and reports.
?Skilled in creating pre and post communication campaign analysis, taking into consideration ROI, internal and external data performance and demographic performance.
?High level if IT literacy, specifically with excellent Excel and database skills.
?Skilled in social network event marketing such as LinkedIn and Twitter.
?Excellent copy writing skills.
?Web marketing such as SEO
