Senior Director of Agency Sales NextMark

NextMark has a successful track record of delivering powerful media planning tools. Since 2000, it?s been serving both buyers and sellers in 18 media channels ? both offline and online. Today, more than 2,000 firms and countless marketers rely on NextMark to help them reach their market.
In late 2012, NextMark introduced Digital Media Planner, today?s most advanced web-based tool for planning and buying digital media. Today, dozens of agencies are using Planner to streamline the complex process of planning digital media campaigns, leveraging our platform to centralize their processes and get operationally efficient. Your role will be to introduce advertising agencies to Planner, and get them using software, rather than manpower, to tackle the mind-numbing, manual processes involved in digital media.
The perfect candidate for this role is an aggressive hunter who likes to think big, and wants to solve big problems. A natural change agent, the successful candidate needs a track record of solution selling, an understanding of digital media agencies and their planning process, and a solid knowledge of the ?programmatic direct? landscape. The right candidate can not only get the meeting and the free trial started, but knows what it takes to drive adoption within the agency by engaging with a myriad of stakeholders, from junior level media planners right through to the CEO.
This job is based in New York City and reports to NextMark?s Chief Revenue Officer.
Achieve the company?s sales goals
Cover your sales territory and hit your quota, which includes both revenue and non-revenue key performance indicators.
Build and manage your prospect pipeline from interest (establishing relationship), development (understanding need), close, customer adoption, and ongoing customer relationship.
Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
Record sales activities and prospect/client interactions in NextMark?s CRM System.
Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
Provide senior management with monthly report of sales activities.
Manage the use of sales budgets and resources.
Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions.
5-7 years of experience in technology sales with proven track record of selling technology to digital advertising agencies
Expertise in a variety of the digital advertising field?s concepts, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of the agency technology ?stack? including ad serving tools, billing systems, research tools and other 3rd party systems
Writing: crafting well-written and compelling, sales letters and client correspondence
Sales process ? Solution Selling, Challenger Selling, SPIN selling or similar
Entrepreneurial, startup experience
Business planning and budgeting
Proficient SalesForce.com or other CRM
Ability to communicate professionally
Ability to listen, understand, and accurately represent customer needs
Ability to discern and prioritize high-value from low-value customer requests
Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic team environment
Good organizational skills
Proficient with Windows PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week minimum
Work Location: NextMark?s office in New York, NY
Travel: Frequent travel for client meetings, training, and conferences.

Salary and commission commensurate with experience
