The Sr. Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying, developing and managing strategic partnerships for Ayasdi. This includes OEM opportunities, strategic technology partnerships and strategic consulting partnerships. This dynamic leader will own the entire client acquisition process through contract signing. The Sr. Director of Business Development will work closely with the executive leadership team and the Marketing & Solutions team in pursuing long term relationships with the world?s leading enterprise companies.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in business development in Business Intelligence and/or Big Data markets, is a creative problem solver, a self-starter and a highly motivated, high-energy person that wants to win. Candidates must have enterprise software experience and a proven background in driving revenue from enterprise level clients.
The Sr. Director of Business Development must demonstrate a high level of strategic acumen regarding all aspects of Big Data and Business Intelligence and be comfortable speaking to C Level decision makers across a diverse set of vertical industries (Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Health/Life Sciences, and High-Tech). This position reports to the Head of Global Sales.
Duties and Responsibilities
?Develop relationships with C-level executives within Fortune/enterprise level organizations
?Meet and exceed revenue goals
?Develop and manage the channel sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales potential with the ability to manage a large number of prospects simultaneously through the sales process
?Manage and track prospect/customer information in CRM; logging all sales activity within the established processes; keeping sales activity current and accurate
?Analyze existing & prospective customer needs, identify opportunities and scope potential GTM offerings
?Coordinate relationship building activities with appropriate Department heads, Directors, Strategy Leads, Client Strategy Directors, and other personnel
?8+ years of experience presenting to and closing C-Level executives at Fortune level organizations
?Demonstrated track record of building strategic partnerships that deliver significant revenue via OEM, co-sell and resell channels
?Possess analytical and problem solving skills together with business process knowledge sufficient to assess client requirements, work with Ayasdi's leaders in identifying appropriate solutions, and lead the development of compelling and successful proposals
?Bachelor?s degree in a business related field or equivalent experience
?Demonstrated success in business development, preferably in business intelligence, data analytics, etc.
?Ability to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills that have resulted in business relationships of trust, confidence, and results
?Demonstrated success in identifying, initiating, and nurturing new or on-going business opportunities
?Experience using Salesforce.com
?Energetic, upbeat, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
?Ability to exceed personal/team goals and quota
?Ability to qualify leads, develop large multi-site opportunities and build relationships
?Ability to learn, understand and present detailed product features & benefits
?Knowledgeable in all the latest aspects of enterprise software
?Personally web savvy
