Oversee the team that manages faciliies operational performance, maintenance, improvement initiatives, control efforts and vendors/suppliers.
In conjunction with the Facilities Managers, ensure high quality, cost-effective maintenance/upkeep and safety in all Gilt locations.
Our Gilt locations encompass 1200 employees within the New York headquarters, our Brooklyn distribution & creative studios, the Kentucky distribution center, smaller remote locations as well as our international offices in Limerick and Dublin, Ireland.
Responsible for the Facility budget and ongoing implementation.
Manage all vendors providing services to the Company including messengers, car services, kitchen supplies, security, delivery etc.
Manage existing leases, negotiate lease renewals, evaluate relocations, expansions and repositioning opportunities that support Gilt Groupe?s growth plan and operating strategy. For any new space requirements, manage initial site survey, site selection and contract/lease implementation and negotiation.
Manage safety and security for all facilities including international locations.
Fluent knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, to ensure compliance.
Provide strategic project direction, management, planning and financial oversight to all construction projects. Qualify and approve outsourced General Contractors & Project Managers; create and manage budgets consistent with timeline requirements for all projects
Inspect on-site work periodically to ensure quality of work, accuracy of reports, resolve disputes and ensure details and construction standards are consistent between all projects.
Build and maintain solid relationships with all internal and external partners.
Foster communication and share best practices across all facilities stakeholders; leverage team to develop enterprise-wide solutions to problems.
BA/BS degree in related field
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in facilities management and/or real estate
Prior experience working in a matrix organization, influencing stakeholders across businesses and locations
Practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to effectively identify, evaluate and implement solutions for customers
Ability to provide excellent service to clients while being able to diplomatically push back with alternate approaches or solutions
Hands-on and tactical with the ability to implement and execute
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
Proven ability to multi-task and quickly respond to shifting business priorities
Proven track record of integrity, sound judgment, organization building success
Excellent personal leadership skills
Proactive, well-organized, results-oriented, with the ability to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously
