The candidate will be responsible for the development of strategy, forecasts, budgets and implementation of tactics associated with the brand plan for the launch and ongoing marketing of Zogenix? pain product, Zohydro ER. This position will also have a significant focus on the ongoing planning and execution of the Zohydro ER Safe Use initiatives. The candidate will work as an integral leader within the marketing team, supporting the promotion and management of Zohydro ER. The candidate will help drive product adoption within FDA-approved indication in the pain market space. Candidate will be a member of the brand team in key aspects of brand leadership and represent the marketing team at various internal and external meetings. This individual will have ongoing interactions with upper management, sales representatives and managers, sales training, commercial operations, and cross-functional areas including but not limited to clinical, regulatory, medical affairs, legal, compliance, market research, finance, and operations. This position will report to the Vice President of Marketing.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Create and execute the Zohydro Safe Use and Risk Education programs via cross functional teams
Create and implement an integrated marketing plan for Zohydro ER.
develop the Zohydro ER forecast
Create and manage the Zohydro ER brand budget
Create and manage full brand P&L
Manage relationships with strategic partners and vendors.
Provide guidance to help the brand achieve annual sales targets
This individual will assimilate and analyze qualitative and quantitative market data to generate a deeper understanding of the customer, brand, disease area, and market.
Candidate will leverage existing relationships with KOL?s, professional and patient advocacy groups, key customers, and other appropriate stakeholders to identify customer needs, and drive appropriate product adoption.
The individual will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the products, disease state, the competitive landscape, and related diseases and their management.
The candidate will stay current on compliance and regulatory issues and refresh their compliance training as needed in the dynamic opioid space.
The individual will have an understanding of reimbursement issues related to Zohydro ER and will contribute to strategies or mechanisms that will optimize reimbursement in the US.
The individual will participate on cross-functional teams for their areas of focus
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing required (6+ years preferred)
Demonstrated record of effectively working with advertising agencies and cross functional teams
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Master?s degree or MBA preferred
Marketing experience in either pain or with controlled substances strongly preferred
Pharmaceutical sales experience a plus
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Evidence of good analytical, planning, project management and organizational skills
Successful demonstration of adaptability / flexibility
Needs to be a highly motivated self-starter with the commitment to see projects to their completion
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships
Excellent judgment and ability to incorporate business considerations into decision-making

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment
Requires ability to travel 20% time
