The role
Dotster is seeking a hands-on leader to grow our online marketing efforts and manage a team of experienced SEM marketers. You will be responsible for the execution, measurement and, most importantly, results of online media campaigns across several brands. Your job is to increase market share and revenue by improving our e-marketing strategies and execution. This position reports to the SVP of Marketing, and provides an unparalleled opportunity to show off your marketing, creative and operational skills.
Responsibilities
Align and optimize marketing channels including PPC, SEO, display, networks and remarketing for several leading web hosts
Owns the planning and execution of online marketing efforts
Participates in the overall strategic planning, development and success of the marketing department. Takes all necessary and approved actions to achieve both short and long-term goals and objectives of Marketing.
Provides strategic direction to drive online lead acquisition through a mix of PPC, SEO & email marketing.
Develops an online strategy to enhance the brand and effectively build awareness through social media outreach.
Manages marketing employees with regards to performance, training and development, mentoring and productivity.
Schedule promotions across brands to meet monthly signup and revenue goals
Oversee search engine marketing by monitoring performance and exploring opportunities
Manages Web analytics to find opportunities and areas for improvement
Supports the creation of tests to optimize conversion rates across brands
Utilize Social Media as a tool to improve customer experience, increase evangelism and drive referrals.
Provide strategic guidance on web features and user experience to help drive customer acquisition, customer retention, and conversion
Work cross-functionally with marketing, product and project management, designers, software development engineers, buyers and other internal partners.
Requirements
B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Business, or technology-related field; MBA preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage large campaigns across several brands
8-10 years of online marketing experience, including affiliate marketing, SEM, SEO and remarketing.
Experience managing and optimizing teams of online marketers
Sales planning expertise
Technical expertise in leveraging social media to generate advertising revenue.
Ability to communicate and present effectively to audiences at all organizational levels.
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, enthusiastic, resourceful and have the ability to envision innovative solutions in a complex environment
Strong customer focus and proven track record of applying customer insights and trends to proposed digital solutions.
Ability to multi task and prioritize in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
