The Senior Director of Translational Research directs the activities of the Research team and includes responsibility for the identification of candidate biomarker targets, research and feasibility studies on the candidate targets. Coordinates and collaborates with interdisciplinary technical groups to design, develop and transfer products from research/feasibility to development.
The Senior Director of Translational Research is expected to:
Manage research activities for Lp-PLA2 mass and activity assays
Directs the identification new biomarkers
Directs the identification of line extension for Lp-PLA2 products
Manages research activities for new biomarkers
Assists with applications for automated clinical chemistry analyzers
Ensure successful and timely technology transfer to the development group
Prepare and/or assist with technical information for customer manuals, troubleshooting guides, and reagent/instrument bulletins
Serve as technical resource for troubleshooting products, including interactions among reagents and instrumentation
Serve as a lead scientist in assisting technical problem-solving
