Senior Director, Product and Corporate Marketing Current Analysis
We are looking for an exceptional senior marketer to shape and implement marketing strategies designed to drive sales and affinity for highly complex products and services. This role requires a marketer with strong business acumen to drive revenue and product targets and be able to stay focused even with dealing with ambiguity. Equally important, the position of Senior Director, Marketing requires a self-starter who has well developed skills in creating and executing strategies utilizing contemporary marketing techniques that build corporate awareness programs, and drive demand and market penetration for our existing and new product lines.
This role is highly visible and cross-functional, requiring regular communication with senior and executive management, sales, product development and other staff members. The Senior Director, Marketing will work in close conjunction with product management/development to define, plan and execute go-to-market strategy, developing product positioning, key benefits and messaging that support current products and markets as well as new offers and new markets. This position creates and oversees new product kick-off packages, sales guides, and promotional materials and product promotions utilizing the full marketing communications mix.
Additionally, the Senior Director, Product and Corporate Marketing will develop programs that validate and maintain Current Analysis?s best-in-class status and reputation in established markets and strengthen Current Analysis?s brand recognition with new audiences. This position is responsible for marketing communications, public relations and analyst relations, advertising and creative services, online and offline media and events. This individual will supervise and enhance the performance of two marketing professionals.
Translate Current Analysis vision and strategic plans into distinctive messaging which the company can take to market to realize profitable growth
Develop and manage the execution of brand and marketing campaigns to reinforce Current Analysis?s dominant position and competitive differentiation to enhance the company's visibility, brand equity, industry recognition and ability to penetrate and grow target markets
Define and deliver effective, well-targeted demand generation programs in support of sales activities and revenue goals
Maximize use of the full marketing mix to include social media, email, advertising, direct outreach, trade events, etc.
Strengthen and deliver positioning and messaging that reflect a market driven approach to customer needs
Drive and manage external communications with the media, industry analysts, and pertinent industry groups
Develop and manage an annual marketing plan and budget with quarterly course corrections to continually fit changing customer needs and market conditions to support meeting and exceed sales targets and company profitability goals
Conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand, market penetration and meet company revenue goals
Define and create short- and long-range product marketing objectives and plans, leading category marketing initiatives design to drive product demand and sales
Define and create value propositions and know how to transform them into positioning and messaging frameworks
Integrate the marketing messaging within a product or service to ensure the viability of the value proposition and revenue model
Provide product-level positioning, key benefits and marketing messaging, to include vertical messaging, that differentiates products in the marketplace
Drive sales enablement, readiness and advocacy programs across all relevant roles to include sales and analyst training materials, collateral, data sheets, feature briefs, user guides, web tutorials and other appropriate content
Lead development and implementation of segmentation strategies to identify and penetrate markets to maximize new business and retain customers
Enhance and oversee Current Analysis thought leadership programs to include maximizing exposure through trade event presence, speaking engagements for analysts, webinars, pod/video casts, blogs, industry engagement and other activities to be carried out continuously throughout the year
Empower sales multiple touch point materials that articulate and illustrate the key value propositions Current Analysis offers to clients
Manage and develop a motivated, high performance marketing team, providing coaching and useful feedback , setting and communicating guiding goals, and instilling a basis for measurable accomplishments and accountability

5+ years of demonstrated experience in product marketing, product management, marketing or equivalent for an internet-based technology company preferably in the business information, syndicated content or a closely related space
Demonstrated success launching and marketing products to F100 and medium-sized companies that have met or exceeded revenue goals
Proven achievement in developing and implementing company-wide go-to-market plans in established and newly-defined target markets, working with multiple departments to execute
Highly capable of creating and implementing effective sales support tools to include positioning documents, electronic collateral, presentations, etc.
Successful in developing new ideas to generate leads through a variety of creative marketing techniques. Ability to create demand and generate/cultivate business leads
Public and media relations experience that effectively results in strong online and traditional media coverage.
Experience in successfully creating and implementing traditional and direct marketing activities, branding techniques and new social media gorilla marketing activities using Web 2.0 techniques and social networks and other venues for viral marketing approaches.
Experience working directly with senior management and direct sales teams
Proven ability to collaborate and drive cross-team collaboration, with a diverse group of individuals in a cross functional organization, without formal authority
Excellent ability to manage and negotiate vendor relationships with budgetary oversight and responsibility
BA/BS required (in Marketing, Business or a related field preferred). MBA or equivalent experience a plus.
