Senior Director, System Engineering Narus

As our Senior Director of Worldwide Systems Engineering, you?ll be the leader of our Systems Engineering team. Our clients span all business sectors and sizes.
When it comes to networking and packet analysis, you are the expert; this can be demonstrated by a track record of happy, reference-willing customers. They appreciate your technical acumen and your diligence; no details about customer requirements get by you.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a proven track record in technical software sales and knowledge of technology. The candidate should be comfortable working for a dynamic, technical organization with a rapidly evolving product and customer base; must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate clearly and professionally when responding to emails, RFPs, etc., and when submitting reports; and need to be organized and analytical, and be able to eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches.
The Director is expected to hold weekly staff and 1X1 meetings with direct reports, quarterly performance review updates, annual goal plans, development plans and formal performance appraisals. Additional duties include:
Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group
Work with the product development teams to deliver the right products for the customer base and to drive quality into the products during all phases of the product life-cycle. Work to resolve issues and add new feature requests as required
Partner with the Sales team to ensure that the Narus sales team is meeting the customer expectations. Support for this includes on-site support as required in addition to providing technical direction to services on platform updates and required service actions. Ensure that the system engineers are active and effective members of the Customer Solutions Team.
Ability to demonstrate Narus products and services to customers on site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, setting priorities and managing to committed schedules
Willing to travel to visit prospects and customers, and to engage in onsite customer work when required.
Experience responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs is also important.
Self-motivated with a proven track record in technical software sales and knowledge of technology.
Strong presentation skills and be able to communicate clearly and professionally to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
Ability to be organized and analytical, and must be able to eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches.
You should be comfortable working for a dynamic technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
10+ years relevant experience in selling and supporting Cyber and Enterprise security solutions to IT organizations
Experience leading SEs in a sales environment with Cyber and Enterprise security solutions
Experience with networking, server, application and development technologies
US Citizenship required.
Top Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
Domain expertise with IT operations, security or compliance is desirable
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
