Senior Drupal Engineer Acquia
We're looking for ?bi-lingual? Drupal engineers who can speak both PHP and jQuery to work on improvements to the Drupal authoring experience in Drupal 7 and Drupal 8. Summary:
You?ll work with Dries Buytaert and a talented and passionate team of interaction designers, engineers, front-end wizards, usability specialists, and accessibility gurus, as well as the larger Drupal community. Your mission: make game-changing advancements in Drupal?s UX, including features such as in-line editing, drag and drop layout tools, and media management.

Job Requirements:
Collaborate with the Drupal community to improve Drupal's authoring experience for both Drupal 7 and Drupal 8.
Building proof-of-concepts and prototypes to help incubate new ideas for Drupal.
Discover and compare/contrast different approaches from competing systems and new technologies and come up with recommendations for changes in Drupal (e.g. how to approach making Drupal into a mobile platform, how to improve Drupal?s content editorial workflow).
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of Drupal programming experience, including familiarity with the theme layer, Render API, Entity API and Drupal 7?s AJAX system.
3+ years PHP or other significant programming experience
Excellent JavaScript, jQuery, HTML 5 skills
Expertise with CSS 2 and 3 -- and how they work in different browsers
PHP and LAMP
Experience working with Open Source developer communities
Excellent organization and communication skills
Experience with creating and maintaining Drupal distributions
Extra credit: ability to create quick prototypes to test out UX concepts
