The Senior Drupal engineer will play a pivotal role shaping how we architect and administer Drupal at IMN. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large enterprise Drupal implementations in a LAMP environment and will have worked extensively with modules such as CCK, Panels, and Views. The candidate should also have experience developing custom modules for Drupal and is proficient coding with PHP. Additional Drupal experience with module evaluation, theme development, taxonomy development, security, integration, site deployment and maintenance, and performance optimization (including caching) will be looked upon favorably.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Design for, recommend and implement scalable, high-performance Drupal solutions while working closely with teams of software engineers and UX designers.
Front-end and back-end development, including the creation and maintenance of custom modules and themes when necessary. This may include modules that are contributed back to the Drupal community.
Research, recommend and help deploy existing modules that can be used to fulfill business requirements.
Work with Operations to help support the Drupal technology stack and assist with the troubleshooting of low-level issues as they arise.
Help define the process for automating the deployment and management of multiple Drupal sites.
Utilize Drupal community best practices and coding standards.
Qualifications (skills/requirements):
Minimum Qualifications
Proven expertise developing and scaling enterprise Web applications using Drupal.
3-6 years of hands-on professional development experience with Drupal, particularly Drupal 6.0 or 7.0.
Intermediate to expert level proficiency with PHP programming.
Proficiency working with Drupal core modules, as well as Views and Panels.
Proficiency working with the Linux, Apache, and MySQL stack; comfortable working from a command line and with shell scripts.
