Senior eCommerce Product Manager Web Reservations International

This position operates as a liaison between IT and other business departments to determine appropriate solutions for business driven tasks and reported bugs/issues with our commercial sites.

The position will be responsible for helping to identify new market opportunities in the online marketplace and work with IT to bring new projects to market.

The position will work alongside the VP of Product Management creating requirements for new projects working with IT and the business to ensure these requirements are feasible projects and ensuring they meet business needs.

This position will review, analyze, and evaluate various projects throughout the year and report on the appropriate changes both from a business and user experience that should be made.

Main duties

1.Consults with business staff to develop an understanding of the varied business needs. Interacts with all IT management and staff.
2.Managing, investigating and organizing tasks/bugs/issues as reported by the various business departments.
3.Assigning tasks/bugs/issues to the relevant technical resource
4.User Acceptance Testing manage and carry out testing of site changes and enhancements ensuring that at all times the user experience is not affected
5.Conducts continuous research and analysis into the nature, effect and results of current and potential issues and bugs.
6.Conducts continuous research and analysis into possible business solutions.
7.Inline with the roadmap for each site the position will analyse and provide ideas and recommendations regarding the assigned site.
8.Responds to questions and influences employees regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs.

Document the various sites direction, structure and requirements.

Assists in the collection and consolidation of required information and data.

Project Execution

Understands project plans and is able to clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines.
Proactively carries out project support /administrative functions.
Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans and manages time effectively.
Product Documentation

Complete required documentation to high standard
Work closely with Product Managers on all documentation including Requirements Definitions
Deliver reports as required
Site Strategy & Roadmap

Actively analyse sites throughout the year investigating the user experience and competitor challenges.
Have input into the roadmap and understand the direction sites are taking.


Online Marketing

Work closely with the Online Team ensuring that they have visibility of all content changes
It is important that SEO is always considered before changes are made both from a development and design perspective ensure that you work closely with the Online Team.
Usability

User Experience has to be a the forefront of your role always ensuring that bugs/issues/tasks are necessary before making any changes.
Ensuring that testing is carried out to the highest standard and all aspects of any changes made investigated.
User Acceptance Testing

Testing all changes and requests for change in relation to our sites.
Overseeing and carrying out testing on all tasks and projects.
Working with business to ensure that the quality of the project/task and the testing are as requested and of a high standard before any go live instruction is given
