Senior eCommerce Strategist MarketLive
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Internet Strategy Team is seeking a self-starter with exceptional marketing, merchandising and eCommerce management skills to fulfill the role of Senior eCommerce Strategist. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, the selected candidate will provide strategic direction and guidance to MarketLive?s prospects, and will support expanding thought leadership marketing efforts. The position requires broad experience and familiarity with online customer acquisition and retention, search and affiliate marketing, online advertising, email marketing, website analytics, and website interface design. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, experienced, online marketing or merchandising manager or consultant with a strategic orientation and strong analytical and communication skills.
Provide marketing, merchandising and eCommerce management recommendations to MarketLive prospects.
Design and carry out client site and strategy analysis, assess information and suggest solutions.
Work directly with prospects and MarketLive Sales & Marketing teams to help create and identify strategic opportunities and generate interest in relevant MarketLive products and services.
Conduct and publish research on eCommerce best practices, and on market, consumer, and technology trends.
Compile, track and report individually and collectively on prospects traffic and sales trends, to be leveraged internally and in Marketing and Sales efforts.
Build client use case histories.
Develop client facing presentation materials.
Produce written content for MarketLive?s eLearning series and industry thought leadership activities.
Extensive knowledge of eCommerce marketing and merchandising.
Demonstrated understanding of prospect and client-side eCommerce methodologies, practices and operations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to prepare clear and concise client-ready documents.
Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism, demonstrate empathy and commitment to the helping prospects become clients.
Able to succeed by driving and completing projects that have no precedents.
Proven ability to manage simultaneous, deadline-driven tasks and projects with limited direction and supervision.
5-7 years experience in B2C eCommerce, preferably in marketing; sales and marketing side and/or consulting experience highly desirable.
Bachelor?s degree in Business, Marketing or Economics, Master?s Degree a plus.
Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Adobe Photoshop and HTML a strong plus.
Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and creative environment.
Possess a high tolerance for ambiguity and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary; possible travel to 25%.
