Senior Editor - Men's Gilt Groupe
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Gilt Groupe seeks an experienced editor to spearhead editorial content for its men?s division.
Key responsibilities include:
Write and edit men?s sale copy, including preview copy, brand profiles, sale names and email descriptions, ensuring that copy is engaging and informative and on brand.
Manage social media content for Gilt Man, ensuring that copy is engaging, effective, and written in the savvy, knowing Gilt Man voice; conceive and spearhead the creation of new social media initiatives designed to drive engagement, buzz, and member growth.
Partner with central creative and marketing teams to develop and execute the editorial components of major site-wide programs, such as fall trends or holiday.
Work with VP of editorial, creative & customer experience to conceive and develop new editorially enhanced sections of Gilt Man.
Spearhead new editorially driven theme sales.
Write/edit marketing and PR copy as needed.
Manage the editorial calendar for Gilt MANual, writing and editing 5-7 posts per week, including Editor?s Picks, Gilt Man Essentials, Q&As, how-tos, and more.
Constantly refine editorial processes to improve efficiency.
Write marketing copy for internal and external promotions.
Continuously monitor and analyze web traffic and use that information to guide content development; focus on audience needs and usability throughout the online content creation process.
5-7 years of relevant experience in a digital publishing environment with a proven ability to generate original ideas and develop successful online content
Strong editorial background, and understanding of what makes great editorial content
Passion for and knowledge of men?s fashion and style?its key players, current trends, and history
Keen eye for detail, proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines
A knack for writing great display copy, as well as knowledge of SEO best practices
Ability to write insightful, engaging, and informative copy on tight deadlines
Entrepreneurial spirit, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, and the ability to thrive in an ever-evolving environment
Strong familiarity with web publishing and social media tools and technologies
Facility with research and data to help guide decision-making
Must be on top of developments and innovations in web content delivery, community, design, and distribution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across various departments
Basic HTML and knowledge of various web content management systems, as well as photo editing software
Bachelor?s degree required
Position reports to the VP of Men?s Editorial, Creative and Customer Service.
