Senior EFFA Hardware Engineer Jawbone

Perform the EFFA (Early Field Failure Analysis) for Jawbone?s mobile, wearable products
Performs engineering level failure analysis of early field return units.
Investigate components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes to find the root causes of various product failures.
Pick and drive closure to HW, SW and FW issues affecting product performance and reliability. Requires generating needed test scenarios, collecting data, and collaborating with appropriate individuals, suppliers and CMs internally and externally.
Provide inputs to the design and process teams to improve design quality and production yield.
BSEE, plus 5 or more years of experience in failure analysis and/or product engineering. Experience with high volume consumer electronics products preferred.
Familiar with digital and analog circuits design and debug.
Familiar with MCU and common peripheral circuits preferred
Able to use various FA techniques and equipment. Debugging skills at both board and component level is critical.
Excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities required
Attention to detail, hands on and self-motivated
Good communicator, great team player required
