Summary:
The EE Board and System Design Engineer conceive, design and prototype various circuit boards that involve motion and temperature control, data acquisition, system communication, and system level design of an entire ForteBio?s instrument. Activities also include firmware development, documentation, and vendor management. This person must be able to troubleshoot complex problems at the interface of hardware, software, and be committed to customer satisfaction.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, implement, and test circuit boards and electrical systems.
- Develop related test fixtures and software for manufacturing.
- Troubleshoots and resolves electronics related system issues.
- In charge of EE engineering documentation and material specifications.
- Communicate effectively within the engineering team and with other departments of the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in EE and a minimum of 3 years industrial experience with scientific or medical instrumentation.
- Knowledgeable in analog and digital design, simulations, and implementation.
- Proficient in Altium Designer
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting and resolving various EE issues.
- Substantial experience with electrical, mechanical, and/or Windows based systems.
- Familiar with motion control, temperature control, CCD, and CAN bus communication is a significant plus.
- Good communication skill with vendors.
