We are currently searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join SAGE in Faribault, MN (35 miles South of Minneapolis).
Summary:
The Senior Electrical Engineer is a key contributor to the product development group at SAGE Electrochromics, managing a small group of electrical engineers and technicians and working closely with other engineering disciplines to design control systems for electrochromic glass. New products will include solar-powered wireless control solutions, high-density wired control panels, intuitive system commissioning tools, novel optical sensing systems, and user interfaces. The ideal candidate will enjoy applying a diverse skill set to a variety of projects within a small team in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead design and development of new controls products, from conceptual design through product testing and implementation in manufacturing
Develop and improve control algorithms for daylight and glare management
Manage a small group of engineers and technicians, including both permanent employees and contractors.
Develop, maintain and report on project plans, schedules and budgets
Help develop internal processes to support effective and efficient product development
Requirements:
A minimum of six years of experience in new product development
A degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Excellent verbal and written communication
Demonstrated project management skills
Ability to work effectively with customers and suppliers
Desired attributes:
A Master?s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
At least two years experience managing the work of other engineers
Experience with embedded control systems and sensors
Experience with wireless communication systems
