Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Job# 1169 Dust Networks

Dust Networks is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to be a key member of a small team implementing ultra low-power, wireless mesh networking systems. As part of the software team, the candidate will have the opportunity to design and implement wireless mesh networking products, work with state-of-the-art wireless ASICs, and develop low-power embedded software.

This position is at Dust Networks corporate offices in Hayward, California.

Qualifications:

The ideal engineer will have: 5+ years of low-level embedded development experience, in-depth understanding of multiple hardware platforms, experience with networking products and protocols, and a deep understanding of RTOS internals. Wireless and/or sensor networking experience is a bonus, as is prior work with low-power firmware. The candidate should be comfortable working with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, sniffers and other diagnostic equipment.

Requirements:

MS Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years of relevant working experience
C/C++, Assembly, Python
Low-level embedded software development
ASIC/board bring-up and debugging
Sensor networks, 802.15.4, ZigBee, networking protocols
ARM architecture
RF, wireless protocols, low power devices


Responsibilities:

The Senior Embedded Software Engineers tasks will include development of low-level device drivers, network protocols and sensor applications.
