Senior Energy Systems Engineer FirstFuel Software
This Senior Energy Systems Engineer (SESE) will be responsible for oversight of projects related to the delivery of the FirstFuel platform. In addition, the SESE will serve as a client project manager for various strategic opportunities as well as participate in customer presentations.
A mechanical, electrical, or facilities engineering degree at the bachelor level.
7-10 year?s experience in one or more of the following types of firms:
Energy Service Company (ESCo),;Facility service provider; mechanical, electrical, or controls contractor; Building Commissioning provider; Energy Auditing/Consulting firm; MEP Engineering firm; Real Estate or property management company; Facility Operations for Building Owner
Experience in analyzing energy consumption and quantifying potential operational changes or energy retrofits in buildings over 100K square feet.
Understanding of various types of HVAC, lighting, and building automation equipment.
Understanding of building operations including scheduling and maintenance.
Understanding of building modeling
Able to use conventional engineering tools including Excel and drawing programs.
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work well with coworkers and clients.
Able to think ?outside of the box? to help us create a new generation of analysis tools.
Eager and committed to working in an early stage company.
Certification in energy management, auditing, commissioning, modeling, automation, or other building energy related field, a plus.
Developed models in one or more Statistical packages like Matlab, SAS, SPSS, R, RATS, Stata.
Proficiency in one or more of Unix shell scripting, Ruby, Perl, C++, Python.
Cloud platform programming experience (e.g., Amazon Web Services).
Work experience in a startup or small technology driven company.
