Job Description:
Design of high performance RF and Analog ICs in Peregrine?s UltraCMOS technology for commercial and industrial applications. Product lines include RF Amplifiers, PAs, Switches, Mixers, Oscillators and PLLs. The candidate will support products during the entire product life cycle from product definition through product release to end-of-life. As part of a cross-functional product development team the candidate will support other essential disciplines including marketing and applications, project management, characterization, production and test engineering.
Roles & Responsibilities
Product Definition: Partner with marketing to define new products through feasibility studies and technical competitive analysis.
Product Design and Evaluation: Schematic Capture, Simulation, IC layout, Package Thermal and Electro-Magnetic Analysis and Design Validation.
Product Documentation: Document all relevant product and design information to explain the design concepts, implementation techniques and measurement results in detail. Help on application notes.
Product Characterization: Work independently or with Characterization Engineers to define test plan, conduct characterization and analyze measurement data.
Production ATE Development: Work with Test Engineers to define, develop and ramp production ATE solutions.
Knowledge, Skill and Competency Requirements
Good understanding of RF communication systems and architectures
Good understanding of basic device physics, especially non-linear effects in transistors
Basic knowledge of IC fabrication and its impact on circuit performances.
RF and Analog IC design experience - bulk and/or SOI CMOS processes
Knowledge of one or more of the following: LNAs, Driver amplifiers, PAs, RF Switches, Mixers, Oscillator, PLLs, Op-Amps and ESD strategies.
Proficient in RF and Analog schematic design, simulation and layout design.

Education and Experience:
3-5 years experience with MSEE or equivalent (minimum) degree is required.
