Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the development and contribution toward overall audio technology and product features as they relate to DTS. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
?Support and improve the following:
?Digital media stream analysis and generation
?Multiplexing of DTS-HD, M6/M8 and evolving DTS codecs into multiple container formats
?Coding and testing of libraries, systems or products supporting DTS
?Generation of test plans for streaming technologies, systems and products supporting DTS
?Contribution to standards supporting DTS in streaming technologies
?Other audio enhancement technologies as needed
?Perform research and feasibility studies including defining the scope and goals of audio research tasks and completion of detailed reports on results and recommendations for development activities
?Guide and/or assist members of our team with technical issues
?Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Education and Experience
?Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering field is required. Masters degree in Engineering is a plus.
?Knowledge of digital media streaming technologies
?Experience of container formats and how they are created
?Experience in Internet delivery of digital media
?Demonstrable knowledge of C/C++/Java required
?Familiarity with the following preferred:
?Knowledge of digital signal processing theory
?Background in broadcast, IPTV, digital content delivery, streaming, mobile applications, PC software or consumer products is a plus
?Knowledge of audio codecs would be a bonus
?DSP implementation experience desirable
?Must possess excellent computer skills
?In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint) a must.
?Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to proof and edit
?Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technically related information to a non-technical audience
?Strong personal interest in music and audio
?Strong teamwork and project-related skills
?Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work with little supervision
