Job Responsibilities:
Plan, direct and implement advancements and improvements in ISTR designs and methods. Develop tools for the design and modeling of thermal remediation, including subsurface design, heat up modeling, SOGs and templates. Provide oversight to data management activities. Prepare and/or review engineering work plans, operational status and final reports and other related activities associated with thermal remediation contracts.
Engineering responsibilities include numerical modeling of subsurface energy and mass balances to get design basis for thermal projects, heating and treatment system design and integration, component level detailing, equipment procurement and fabrication, preparation of design work plans and drawings; preparation of construction and equipment specifications (means and methods) as required; and preparation of material takeoffs and developing equipment schedules. Employee will also conduct project work on consulting jobs, including preparing conceptual designs, feasibility studies, white papers and reports; laboratory work including writing laboratory treatability test plans, overseeing laboratory work and costs, interpreting and presenting data and preparing final reports, and research and development.
Duties also include administration of the company's engineering contracts, including writing plans, operations oversight, data collection and interpretation, and optimization. Employee will also develop new projects, respond to technical inquiries, manage data collection and transfer, and conduct data analysis, strawman thermal designs, and preliminary cost estimates and proposal writing. Employee will perform site visits on new project opportunities to determine the available site power and utility/facility constraints, work with engineering staff on design details, collect information regarding construction permits, evaluate potential site support contractors, assist with preparation of detailed cost estimates, and build cost estimates according to TerraTherm's procedures, and preparing bid submissions.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in the field of Environmental Engineering. Masters degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years experience in Environmental Remediation desirable.
