Senior Escalation Software Development Engineer Ruckus Wireless
(P01033)Ruckus Wireless has an immediate opening position for a Senior Wi-Fi Embedded Software Engineer in our Sunnyvale Headquarters office. The candidate is responsible for investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving escalation issues pertaining to ZoneFlex, Candidate is also responsible for the implementation of feature enhancements , implement changes needed in Wi-Fi driver, and resolving technical issues observed by test engineers and customer support engineers in field for all Ruckus Wi-Fi access point and controller products.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with senior architects to implement solutions that enhance usability, reliability, and performance of our wireless products.
Analyze existing code and instrument custom trace code as required to diagnose and resolve issues related to functionality, interoperability, and stability
Rapid development, quickly responding to customer needs.
Involves Sustaining, code maintenance, and documentation.
Develop frameworks and tools to help monitor and troubleshoot network health and performance.
Qualifications:
5+ years of work experience implementing C software for switching/routing platforms.
3+ years of work experience developing embedded Linux software for wireless networking platforms.
Strong knowledge of 802.11 wireless protocols, including 802.11 message exchange from power-on to association, power saving modes, packet aggregation, Wi-Fi security modes, Wi-Fi QoS/WMM.
Strong embedded Linux software development and debugging skills.
Outstanding analytical and troubleshooting skills
Solid understanding of bridging, routing, and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, ARP, DNS, NAT, STP)
Experience with Hostapd and wpasupplicant , AAA, LDAP, Wispr, and .1x is a strong plus.
BS/MS in EE or CS
