Senior Ethernet Device Driver Engineer SeaMicro
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED SeaMicro (AMD DCSS) is seeking a self-motivated, talented Senior Ethernet Device Driver Engineer to lead the driver development for SeaMicro?s 10G fabric NIC. The candidate must have a solid track record of designing and developing device drivers for high speed network adapters like Gigabit Ethernet or 10Gigabit Ethernet NICs.
Design and develop network drivers and software components for Seamicro 10G Fabric NIC in Linux/Windows Operating
Environments for data center networks.
Work with upstream kernel community & linux distro partners to have the drivers included in upstream kernel code & available inbox in major distributions.
Participate in all phases of development cycle including support.
Work closely with the Hardware and QA teams to resolve issues during unit and integration testing
Provide necessary support to customers that are using this solution.
BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related Engineering field
7+ years of device drivers experience with at least 3+ years writing device drivers for high speed network adapters like Gigabit Ethernet or 10Gigabit Ethernet on Linux/HP-UX/Solaris environment
Direct experience with performance analysis and tuning resulting in significant performance improvements
Experience in troubleshooting OS related, device driver and hardware level problems.
Working Knowledge of network adapter functions for VMs and data center network traffic.
Knowledge of higher level network protocols including TCP/IP and Unix socket programming.
Thorough understanding of Linux/Unix kernel internals.
Ability to write high quality and high performance code
Demonstrated ability to effectively document and communicate both complex software designs
Solid interpersonal skills conducive to a team environment
