THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Gilt is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Senior Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, with primary focus on Marketing. The FP&A team is responsible for overall budgeting and planning across the company, while partnering closely with internal business partners to support and drive financial decisions. This role is ideal for someone with exceptional analytical skills and solid financial planning foundation and is looking for an influential role in a fast paced environment.
This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to combine their financial, accounting, analytical, and strategic skills. The Senior Analyst of Finance is responsible for all financial aspects of marketing, including discount & promotions, acquisition, direct marketing and all overhead expenses. He/she will also take on other responsibilities as appropriate. This position uses technical skills, critical thinking, and partnership to evaluate return on investment (ROI) on multiple scenarios of spend to contribute in the determination of the best investment and utilization of capital. As a trusted advisor to the Marketing Team, this position provides key analytical insights and recommendations.
Key finance partner to the Gilt Marketing Team
Partner with CMO and Marketing Team on building annual budget, including analyses of various spend and revenue scenarios
Collaborate with Marketing Team to ensure strategy/decisions and financials are aligned, and monthly budgets are met; coordinate across all divisions with access to paid spend which may be outside of Marketing; be a trusted partner on budget-related decisions
Track and report ROI of various paid spend categories to provide transparency; identify trends and make recommendations on potential ways to optimize spend; report and opine on key marketing initiatives
Finance lead on various customer and marketing initiatives, including evaluation of ROI for incremental acquisition or D&P spend, new acquisition channels, etc.
Analyze loyalty program utilization and partner with Marketing Team to determine trends to shape future redemption forecasts and calculation of reserve requirement
Ensure marketing expense and balance sheet accruals are properly recorded and provide monthly budget variance analyses
Perform monthly and quarterly forecasts
20-30% of time spent supporting other FP&A areas
Desired Skills & Experience
Minimum requirement: 3-5 years total work experience, of which 2+years in financial planning role. Experience in Marketing Finance a plus.
Proficiency in a financial planning system (TM1, Hyperion, or SAP) a must
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
High proficiency in excel (Budgeting Tools, ROI, Demand Modeling)
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to shift priorities and manage changing demands with a sense of urgency
Critical thinking/problem solving ability
Must be comfortable with data and systems
Proven process improvement experience; ability to build relationships with business partners to effect changes
