We are currently seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst, Operations
Job Summary:
Reporting to the SVP & Corporate Controller, this position will interface with the finance operations and COO organization. The successful candidate will provide a proactive focus on margin improvements and communications for this: Just-in-Time business model. It requires experience with Oracle or SAP ERP and certain traditional operating analysis and accounting for a JIT business model (e.g., analyzing and forecasting costs, variances, reserves, etc.)As the liaison between finance, operations and sales the candidate will be expected to expand reporting of historical results and forecasts of future sales and operating activities while improving utilization of the existing ERP system. The candidate will also lead various ad hoc management and reporting projects as the company completes its preparation for an IPO and SOX compliance.
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
?Identify key risks/business processes related to inventory and related reserves and actively manage those.
?Monitor major corporate transactions, including significant sales contracts and material pricing and assess their impact on the business.
?Manage the impact of foreign currency translation on sales and related gross margin.
?Take an active role in the stabilization of the new Oracle ERP environment.
?Coordinate with operating finance team to ensure reported results and forecasts inventory amounts, costs, standards and fluctuations are timely and accurate.
?Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end internal reports and direct month end closing activities for inventory and related accounts.
?Coordinate with corporate finance, operational finance and external auditors regarding required financial reporting deliverables.
?Special projects as needed to ensure operational efficiency opportunities and accounting requirements are properly addressed.
?Work with the finance and operational management to develop and improve inventory policies and procedures as will be required for SOX/404.
Qualifications for this role are:
?Strong analytical, problem solving, business and collaborative skills.
?Process oriented with a strong ERP skill set.
?Must be able to make judgment calls regarding the resolution of issues.
?Strong time management and project management skills.
?Ability to multi-task on competing and deadline sensitive priorities.
?Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
?Ability to lead and mentor staff accountants.
?7+ years working with increasing responsibility (i.e., familiarity with FASB, SEC and similar regulatory requirements.)
?Experience in the multinational High Tech industry.
?Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related required; CPA, MBA, and/or CMA preferred
