Senior Financial Analyst Uber

Then let?s talk.This role will report to the Finance Manager and will help drive company-wide planning, performance reporting, and analysis. In addition to ongoing forecasting, budgeting, planning, and reporting, this role will perform various ad hoc analyses which drive key strategic decisions. Ideal candidate will either have strong operating experience or will be hungry to acquire it. In this dynamic, challenging role you?ll have serious impact as an early member of the hard-working team responsible for keeping our financial house in order as we expand globally.
WHAT YOU?LL DO
Update and manage the company?s global financial operating model
Build and maintain detailed and summarized P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
Drive annual, quarterly, and monthly financial planning, forecasting and reporting process for each market
Collaborate with functional and city managers to create company operating budgets
Regular forecasting and re-planning by city, budget vs. actual reporting
Drive analysis for important strategic decisions
Bring serious analytical horsepower to ad-hoc analyses
Build flexible models for scenario modeling (pricing, margins, taxes, cost structures, etc..
Update high-level expansion scenario model (tactical cash planning)
Research and assist with some of Uber?s international expansion workload related to banking, entity creation, tax registrations, payment processing, etc.
WHAT YOU?LL NEED
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar
Minimum 3-5 years in an FP&A role, either at a high-growth tech startup or a large, well-established company
Exceptional Excel skills - many say they are great at Excel, fewer truly are. Ideal candidate brings some impressive know-how (and the understanding that there?s always more to learn)
Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength of yours
Hustle ? we move fast, developing templates and protocols used to scale globally. Done is better than perfect, and continual iteration is important. None of this happens without hustle
Team player
Strong communication and organization skills ? quality budgets don?t come together without both
Hunger and drive to learn complex topics - from VAT to currency risk, local regulations to inter-company transactions, there is a lot to learn
Familiarity with GAAP
SQL skills ? the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role
Nice to have:
Startup experience ? ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-evolving, fast-paced environment
MBA from top-tier program
International experience

COMPENSATION:
Full-time salary negotiable based on experience, and equity compensation plan.
