Position Overview:

Good Technology is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Sales and Marketing team. The Senior Financial Analyst will partner with department managers to establish and manage departmental budgets and will have significant involvement in the overall financial planning and reporting process. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with excellent analytical and communication skills. This position will report to the Manager of FP&A but will also work with other managers within the company.
Responsibilities:
Work with managers to develop departmental budgets including headcount and capital expenditure forecasts.
Prepare monthly actual versus budget reports and investigate to resolve significant variances.
Influence decision making through analysis and modeling to ensure business partners meet the financial objectives of the organization.
Review and understand financial performance against forecasts via monthly meetings with budget holders and report findings back to management.
Support departmental need for ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and presentations, including supplier contract modeling, business reviews, and management presentations
Partner with business teams to model and evaluate financial scope and structure financial terms of projects, including expected return
Collaborate with other finance/accounting teams to ensure clear communication and transparency in decision making.
Assist in month-end close and reporting
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum five years relevant work experience in financial planning and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong financial and quantitative analysis and modeling skills
High level of proficiency with MS Excel and experience with MS PowerPoint
Demonstrated proactive and solutions-oriented approach towards business problems and process improvements
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, ability to be personable yet persistent.
Experience with Hyperion Planning, SAP BRC/OutlookSoft or similar budgeting system tool highly desirable
Experience with Oracle a plus
Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related is required. (MBA highly desirable)
Minimum five years relevant work experience in financial planning and analysis.
