Job Description
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the company, which includes the financial statements, footnotes, and an analysis of the company?s operations and financial condition. The position will oversee technical accounting research related to new and proposed accounting standards, including the preparation of accounting positions papers and technical memorandums. The position also coordinates and manages the reporting aspects of the external audit. This individual will work closely with the company?s Controller and the company?s forecasting and planning team. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Finance.
Responsibilities
Work with the company?s general ledger team and forecasting team to create necessary internal and external reporting
Prepare all necessary financial statement disclosures
Ensure financial statements and reporting packages are in full compliance with company policies, US GAAP, and other regulations
Identify, research, and recommend conclusions to accounting issues and complex accounting transactions
Act as a liason between the company and its external auditors during audits and reviews
Create backup documentation for all reporting packages that leaves an auditable trail for all balances presented in the financial statements.
Required Skills
Bachelor?s Degree and CPA required
2+ years of experience in financial reporting and evaluating technical accounting areas
4+ years of overall accounting experience
Strong current understanding of US GAAP
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
