Transparent Language?s groundbreaking CL-150 Technology Matrix for Critical Languages is helping the DoD community radically change the nature of language and culture training. To support growth in our major accounts, Transparent Language needs to deliver compelling and effective language classes and coaching services. Great people are the key to this important initiative. Teach one or more of the following languages: Category I- French, Haitian-Creole, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish. Category II- German, Indonesian, Malay, Romanian. Category III- Azeri, Bengali, Cambodian (Khmer), Czech, Dari, Georgian, Greek, Hausa, Hindi, Hungarian, Kurdish, Lao, Laotian, Lithuanian, Nepalese, Pashto, Persian-Farsi, Polish, Russian, Serbian-Croatian, Sinhala, Somali, Swahili, Tagalog, Tausug (Moro), Thai, Turkish, Urdu, Vietnamese. Category IV- Arabic (MSA), Arabic Iraqi, Chinese-Cantonese, Chinese-Mandarin, Japanese, Korean.
Develop instructional materials for language, regional expertise, and culture. Tailor existing materials to fit the customer?s needs and expectations.
Collaborate with instructors and subject matter experts to design curriculum strategy, instructional materials, and lesson plan templates for language-specific programs.
Support the training and lesson planning of 20 other instructors to ensure consistency and quality across all instructors in terms of teaching efficacy and instructional material.
Manage all phases of curriculum design, including analysis of learning objectives, strategy, design, implementation and evaluation of outcomes. Develop a plan for managing and assessing instructor quality. Assess curriculum efficacy over time, identify areas for improvement and implement plans to achieve goals.
Use pedagogical research and best practices to inform teacher training and curriculum design.
Lead with a collaborative leadership style and influence other instructors in a positive manner.

Qualifications:
Must have:
Fluency in English. All Senior Instructors must have completed a formal study of the English Language (or a Bachelor?s Degree) with sufficient proficiency of at least level 2 as measured by the Test of English as a Foreign Language or a score of no less than 82 on the English Comprehension Level (ECL) Test.
Fluency in at least one specified target language (a language rating of ILR level 2+/2+/2+ or Advanced-High) or higher in the speaking, reading, and listening modalities. Proficiency shall be demonstrated by the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) or 2-skill OPI from the DLIFLC, an interview certified by (ACTFL), and the Defense Language Proficiency Test.
Preferred: CL-150 Certification
Education and Experience Requirements:
Must have:
Master?s Degree in foreign language, second language teaching, applied linguistics, or a closely related field.
At least 2 years of recent (within the last 18 months), experience teaching foreign language at the secondary level or higher (a minimum of 200 classroom hours)
Preferred:
Experience in foreign language curriculum development
Experience with classroom technology and/or online instruction
Familiar with blended learning approach
Previous experience working within the DoD or USG
Security Clearance:
Must qualify for interim DoD SECRET clearance. Active secret clearance a plus.
Physical Demands: Light
Standard Work Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, possible overtime required from time to time
