Senior FPGA Design Engineer RGB Networks

The successful candidate will be responsible for the FPGA design and development of both future products and legacy feature additions. The job requires some RTL design work. Candidate should have the ability to work from a thin set of high level requirements, drive the architecture tradeoffs and selection, and drive the design through implementation. Candidate should be capable of understanding the system-wide ramifications of various architecture options. Candidate should have hands-on lab experience as well. Candidate will work with cross functional teams and may act as technical lead.Requirements include:
M.S. in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 6 years experience
Experience with FPGA design flow (synthesis, place and route, etc.)
Self-starter that can work independently
Must have strong FPGA design experience with Xilinx
Strong RTL design/coding experience in Verilog
Some networking background is required
Video experience highly desired
Experience with a majority of the following ? XAUI, GigE, S/XGMII, PCIe, DDR2/3, I2C, SPI, AES, DES, MPEG-2 TS, MPEG-2, H.264
Excellent teamwork; must work with cross functional teams ? software, diagnostics, systems
Excellent written and oral communication skills; vapable of translating and disseminating architectural requirements to implementation engineers
Should have hands on lab experience, strong debug capability
Design for testability and ease of debug
Systems engineering experience a definite plus
DOCSIS background is a plus
Perl, C would be an advantage
