Senior Full Stack Web Developer Pellucid Analytics

We're hiring several front-end and full-stack engineers to build a rich web app that runs on both desktop and mobile devices. The app is rich on the client side, and backed by solid RESTful interfaces, supported by a cloud infrastructure on the back-end, running on the JVM. The app features detailed and expressive visualizations, rendered both client side and server side, so there is a lot of creative talent and know-how running through full stack.The ideal candidate is someone possessing a real passion for technology, who wants to learn more, and has something to teach. Everyone on the tech team regularly attends meet-ups, conferences, and the occasional hack-day--and we're looking for like-minded people. The best candidate can view source on any page and instantly know if the work is quality, and they have a strong sense of style when it comes to their JavaScript. They will have an appreciation for functional style in their JVM code, and are embracing languages like Scala and Clojure.
Desired Experience
- Four to five years experience developing web applications
- Experience turning comps and wireframes into code
- Undergraduate or masters degree with impressive academic results and a solid knowledgebase across computer science
Desired Skills
- Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills
- Strong working knowledge of the JVM
- Experience with, or a desire to learn, Scala
- Deep experience with unix, git, and cloud computing
