SUMMARYinnoPath technology drives the support and care of mobile devices in an always-on world. Using mobileUpdate and activeCare2, mobile operators and device manufacturers update, diagnose, and fix devices over-the-air. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior G/L Accountant to join the innoPath team! The Senior G/L Accountant is responsible for a range of tasks within the Finance Department, and will also need to work closely with other internal teams. This role will report to the Accounting Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-- Responsible for month end close, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts, preparation of journal entries, and the month end binder.
-- Responsible for maintaining the fixed assets ledger.
-- Put together the Budget vs. Actuals comparisons for the income statement and balance sheet, and review expenses with department managers/VPs.
-- Prepare monthly analysis schedules for management reporting, including headcount reporting.
-- Assist in preparation of company's annual plan.
-- Ownership of the Sales and Use tax filings, and property and business tax returns.
-- Responsible for sales orders, invoicing, and issuing purchase orders.
-- Prepare schedules and gather required information for the annual audit.
-- Involvement with upgrades and improvements to the Navision accounting system.
-- Assist in documenting, creating, developing, and maintaining policies and procedures.
-- Active participation in special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
-- 5+ years accounting experience in the private, public, and/or industry sectors. The most recent 2 years of experience must be in GL accounting.
-- Intermediate proficiency level in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
-- Proactive and an enthusiastic team player, with an ability to work independently and within a team environment.
-- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve problems.
-- Superior communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate through all channels (in-person, telephone, email) and also interface with all levels of the organization.
-- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desired:
-- CPA
-- Knowledge of Navision or similar Accounting software.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
-- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
