As a Senior Hardware Systems Engineer, you will work with the Project Leaders and Engineering staff to develop and release quality cutting-edge high volume consumer products including products for: The Connected Home, Home and Business Automation, and the Internet of Things. Responsibilities include: Product architecture, detail design, team leadership and technical relationships with customers, outside contractors and Belkin product managers. Maintaining schedules, cost objectives, and customer satisfaction are primary responsibilities
How you?ll do it
Work as a team leader and/or individual contributor to design and develop cutting-edge products.
Work closely with industrial designers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, product managers, vendors, contractors, manufacturing, and customers to insure successful project coordination and integration.
Create advanced electronic circuit designs and create innovative and robust solutions to problems.
Responsible for electrical design, PCB layout oversight, prototype testing & debug, product documentation and engineering release for production.
Take a leadership role in affecting the convergence of design approaches.
Understand EMC design principles and design products for compliance with agency approvals (FCC, CE, UL, WiFi, Zigbee, Bluetooth, etc.)
What you?ll need
Four year bachelor?s degree in EE/CE or equivalent work experience
10 years electrical and embedded system design in new product development and leadership experience
Expertise in wired and wireless protocols (WiFi, Zigbee, Bluetooth, Ethernet, Internet)
RF and antenna experience
Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills
Previous experience supervising others a plus
Proven analytical problem-solving ability
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Monitor and meet project schedules and cost objectives
Implement products consistent with product definition
Research work for upcoming projects
Lead, develop and motivate junior engineering staff
Create and maintain status reports
Coordinate 3rd party development, technical liaison
Maintain advanced understanding of relevant Connected Home and Wireless technology specifications
