The Senior HRIS System Analyst will act as a technical liaison between the HR and payroll departments. The right candidate will function as an HRIS system administrator and maintain the multi-module functionality of the US based UltiPro HR/Payroll system including security administration, workflow, reporting and metrics in all of our modules.
oBachelor?s degree in Business, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience or Characteristics
o5 years of experience with current HRIS applications and HR business processes.
oPayroll processing and payroll tax experience required.
oUnderstanding of HR functions: compensation, benefits and payroll tax laws that relate to HRIS?s.
oSelf-directed with ability to handle multiple tasks and keep tasks on schedule.
oExperience with data mapping and conversion.
oExperience with database scripting (stored procedures, functions, etc.).
oExperience integrating with various types of data sources (Microsoft SQL Server, flat files).
oKnowledge of basic file transfer technologies (FTP, SFTP, PGP).
oAbility to work with various levels of business users (technical to non-technical).
oStrong analytical, change management, task/project management and problem solving skills.
oKnowledge of relational databases and data structures.
oPrior experience creating and delivering end-user training sessions for technical systems.
oStrong aptitude for technology and learning new software system methodologies that will enhance job performance.
oAdvanced knowledge of MS Excel and strong query knowledge.
Helpful / Preferred
oExperience using UltiPro HRIS.
oExperience using Great Plains accounting system.
Functions and Responsibilities (?in addition to other duties as assigned)
1.Support UltiPro Payroll, Self-service for employees and managers, Benefits, Applicant Tracking, Performance Management, Career and Development and Succession Planning Modules.
2.Work closely with executives and managers to maximize the system data through reporting and key business indicator metrics.
3.Monitor the HR/payroll transaction process and recommend changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
4.Authorize bi-weekly Bank NACHA files.
5.Ensure all new or changed HRIS/Payroll system functionality is thoroughly tested and provide assistance on system upgrades, patches, conversions and developmental activities.
6.Provide on-going guidance and training to users and resolve issues related to HR/Payroll processes.
7.Develop ad-hoc reports; proactively anticipate reporting needs to business units and simplify access to reports to encourage greater use of the system.
8.Regularly audit the HR database to ensure data integrity and function as backup for corporate payroll.
9.Responsible for all payroll tax reconciliations and keeping up-to-date on tax changes including state, federal and local taxes.
10.Lead the process for completing the tax review, audit and submission for month- and quarter-end and annual tax filing including 1099?s and W-2?s.
11.Must be comfortable with system testing, mapping and data conversion as required.
