THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Senior HR Business Partner will primarily support our International and Remote team members. They will also serve a select few departments located at our headquarters. The selected individual will serve all levels of team members and provide consultative human resources support. This position is responsible for ensuring people alignment of business objectives, positive company culture, and human resources programs / policies to facilitate the company with achieving its business goals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree, plus minimum 3 - 5 years in multi-discipline HR environment to include proven success with co-worker relations, recruitment, training, safety, and compensation.
PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Proven success working at a fast paced growing company is preferred; experience working at a technology company is a plus.
Maintain current and complete understanding of federal, state and applicable international laws, including case law and regulations, such as, Title VII, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, and EEO. Working knowledge of international laws, especially with the UK and Australia is preferred. Ensure compliance through training, feedback questionnaires, practice, policies, and investigations.
Based on business needs, occasional travel to remote or international locations may be required.
Will occasionally work outside of regular business hours to support international and remote location needs.
Intermediate skills with MS Office, Outlook and Chatter. Experience with web conferencing tools. Working knowledge with HR Technologies (i.e., Jobvite, TalentWise, DocuSign, and ADP).
Experience and competence in leading, influencing and coaching others in the absence of direct reporting relationships. Experience and comfort in leading projects when not necessarily a subject matter expert.
Proven success with providing a true team member hands-on approach, as well as the ability to monitor the 'pulse' of the team to ensure a high level of engagement.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all-inclusive.
Oversee international locations in Australia and the UK, as well as our satellite office in New York and other various remote locations. Will also support a select few business units at our home office in San Luis Obispo, CA.
Will have one direct report, HR Assistant.
Conduct training relative to human resource topics to include, but not limited to, team building, coaching, performance appraisals and development plans.
Identify and recommend areas in need of work force improvement, such as, retention, engagement, development, and diversity.
Provide strategic direction and input to business leaders regarding overall HR strategies that support the culture, company direction, and the growth needs of the business and team members.
Provide consultation to co-workers on items, such as, coaching, policies and procedures, employment/labor laws, conflict resolution, change management, diversity, and organizational development and design to promote a fair and equitable work environment.
Enlist counsel from other support departments to research and resolve issues for assigned business groups and / or to support project deliverables.
Anticipates potential issues and risks, recommending mitigating action to ensure deliverables.
SCOPE OF SUPERVISION/AUTHORITY:
This is a professional position that works with little direction in an autonomous role. The selected individual will analyze and resolve problems, interpret policies and demonstrate solid knowledge of processes and protocols. The incumbent will create, implement and enhance projects, while being able to influence cross-functional peers. This individual will make independent decisions; authority is broad due to the scope of assignments. Decisions encompass management level decisions regarding department strategy, human capital and budgetary expenditures.
The physical demands are representative of an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
This position is mostly sedentary and will occasionally be required to lift up to 10 pounds. The lifting will involve carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. Infrequently, will be required to lift up to 20 pounds to move training equipment, career fair items or other items related to position.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard.?
The noise level in the work environment is moderate; frequent interruptions will occur.
Will frequently listen and speak with co-workers / vendors in person and through web conferencing tools.
Close visual acuity is required in order to prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, view computer screens, and read.
