Description
This is a unique, full time opportunity for an individual with prior Information Systems experience seeking new challenges and additional responsibility working with modern systems. The Information Systems Engineer plays a lead role in designing, building and maintaining our growing, international information systems infrastructure. This is a hands-on role with significant expectations and decision-making authority. The Senior Information Systems engineer is responsible for management, administration and support of the Company's multi-national technology infrastructure. This position will also scale the Company's IS resources in parallel with the Company's planned growth. Other responsibilities include providing IS support to Company employees.
Position Duties:
- Management, administration, and support of the company's multi-national technology infrastructure
- Scale the company's IS resources in parallel with the company's planned growth
- Provide IS support to company employees
- Author and maintain IS documentation
- Supervise and mentor IS team members and assist Technology team with IS initiatives
- The successful candidate will have 5 to 8+ years of relevant experience
- BS in Management Information Systems or equivalent
- Broad knowledge of industry standard platforms is desirable, including Windows client and server operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, Compaq/HP servers, Dell servers and desktops, and Cisco internetworking, including CallManager telephony systems
- Interest in, and a basic understanding of, common IS technologies -- such as networking, DNS, anti-virus, anti-spam, SMTP, asset management, telephony, and VPNs are critical
- Candidates with programming/scripting interest and experience are preferred
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Please note, the Information Systems Engineer is expected to work overtime and holidays, as needed, on a rotational and on-call basis
- Self-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision are a must. Tech nerds with business savvy are an ideal fit
